Loop It’s easy to spend a day exploring these stretches of the Upper Mississippi. In each of our “River Loops” columns we’ll prowl a stretch of the river for interesting places and things to do. Prairie du Chien to Cassville, Wis. This stretch includes three remarkable state parks with inspiring river overlooks. Two of those parks have campsites so close to the bluff that you can enjoy a stunning view of the river valley from the comfort of your campfire or even from your tent.
